Below is a list of frequently asked questions we receive all the time:

  1. Can I order online even if I'm a new customer? Yes, and you will also receive 10% off when using the 10% discount voucher, which is the word: shimmering.

  2. Can I pay for the diamond in person? Yes, absolutely. Simply reach out to us via the 'contact page,' and we will arrange everything for you. Typically, we arrange an appointment with you. You let us know what size diamond you're looking to order, and one of our diamond experts will meet with you to assist you with the purchase of your diamond in person once you're completely satisfied with everything.

  3. If I am worried that I may not receive an authentic diamond, what can I do to obtain peace of mind? Great question! Simply request one of our diamond experts to meet you at a reputable jeweller. If the jeweller says that the diamond in the certificate does not match the actual stone, then Shimmering Stones will pay you R5000 on the spot to make up for any inconvenience caused. (This has never happened as we have an extremely thorough grading department and rely on the world's highest grading institutions to verify & grade our diamonds.)

  4. Do you check each diamond before you sell it? Yes, absolutely. Our diamonds are triple-checked by three different experts within our quality control department so you can rest assured that by the time you receive it, the stone will match its certificate 100%.

  5. How long does delivery take? It usually takes about 1-3 working days from the moment your payment clears on our end until you receive your order.

  6. What happens if you do not have stock of the item I have purchased? Our team will contact you and offer you a choice between waiting for the item to be back in stock or arranging a full refund.

  7. Do you sell engagement rings too? Yes, simply reach out to us using the 'contact us' page, and one of our experts will be in touch with you regarding how to order the perfect engagement ring from us.

  8. Do you only offer three types of diamonds? Yes, for now, we have made a small part of our inventory available to end-user customers. We mostly sell directly to the trade at wholesale pricing. In case you require something different, feel free to contact us with your request.

  9. Am I allowed to buy multiple stones from Shimmering Stones? As a member of the public, you are allowed to order up to five diamonds from us per order.

  10. As a jeweller, may I order more diamonds from you? We do not sell to jewellers from this particular platform. Please reach out to support via the 'contact page' for jeweller options.

  11. Can I buy the diamond from you and have my ring made elsewhere? Absolutely. You can buy the diamond from us and have us make your ring, or simply purchase the diamond from us and have your ring made elsewhere.

  12. What happens if I am a first-time client and would like you to come to me, but I am not located in one of your service areas? In that case, you have two options: 1) order online using our online store, or 2) come to us, or contact support through the contact page to find out where you can meet with one of our representatives.

  13. Do you only sell certified diamonds, or do you also sell non-certified diamonds at cheaper prices? We only sell certified diamonds, we aim to provide our customers with the best experience possible. We want them not only to fall in love with their diamond but also to stay in love with it forever. Diamonds are forever, and we want our clients to have one of the highest-grade diamonds, being proud of their purchase, knowing it's authentic and obtained at an excellent price.

  14. Do you pay a referral commission? Yes, simply inform us who you referred to us. We will verify if the purchase took place and pay you a R1000 referral commission directly to your bank account.
